Thapelo Malakoane
Managing Partner
Thapelo Malakoane is the managing partner of MA&N. Thapelo’s experience includes matters relating to labour law, commercial law, litigation and dispute resolution. Thapelo has acted for clients in a number of industries including major mining companies, international organisations, banks, as well as developmental financial institutions. Thapelo is familiar with conducting proceedings in the CCMA; Labour Court; Magistrates Court; High Court, Supreme Court of appeal and the Constitutional Court. As the Managing Partner Thapelo ensures the seamless delivery of effective solutions for clients across the SADC region.
Philasande Fakude
Intern
Philasande Fakude was employed as a Court liaison officer whilst studying towards his LLB degree at UNISA. He has been exposed to extensive litigation processes and has just completed his LLB studies. He is currently awaiting his final LLB results in order to commence his articles of clerkship.
Lauren Green
Professional Assistant
As a member of our team, Lauren Green is a banking and finance lawyer who possesses a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Law and focuses on negotiating and drafting commercial contracts.
Having worked for a multinational law firm, Lauren gained experience in Risk & Compliance and Banking & Finance Law. She assisted in providing cross-jurisdictional services for international finance acquisition.
She also assisted foreign clients to establish (or de-register) a presence in South Africa under the Banks Act, and/or obtain Financial Services Board registration in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act and/or Banks Act.
Lauren has experience in Monitoring and advising on clients’ compliance with both national and international legislation and regulations.
